Okay, so I thought I'd start one of these so we could discuss different tactical ideas for anarchist, or revolutionary socialist, organizing in Australia at the present time, and which ones would be most effective in the long, and or short term. Indeed, the anarchist movement is not very big in Australia - I think movement might be a bit rich as is teehee - so, as a means of not only propaganda, but as well action, certain things need to be put on the agenda and discussed. What do peoples think would be the most effective means of organizing here, and why, and what are some ways we could go about it?
One of the ones I think would be most effective is autonomous workplace organizing. Particularly because of the Federal governments laws essentially blocking Union reps. from entering certain workplaces, organizing from within those workplaces is a far more effective means of actually attaining goals, and challenging not only 'Work Choices', but all other obstacles in the workplace, but it also is a means of organizing which builds on-the-job solidarity.
Thoughts?
